Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
EveryGameStat ("we", "us") is a gaming statistics service that lets you view your game libraries, playtime and achievements from gaming platforms in one place. This policy explains what data we process and why. We are based in the Netherlands and process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR/AVG).
1. What we collect
- Account data: your e-mail address, a chosen player name, and a password (stored encrypted; we never see it in plain text).
- Linked platform data: when you link a gaming platform (e.g. Steam), we store your public platform identifier (such as your Steam ID) and the publicly available data of that account: your game library, playtime, last-played dates, achievements and public avatar.
- Technical data: our hosting and database providers process IP addresses and request logs as part of operating the service.
We never ask for or receive your platform passwords. All platform access is read-only and based on data that is publicly available for your account.
2. Why we process it (legal basis)
- To provide the service you signed up for: showing your unified game statistics (performance of a contract, art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- To keep your statistics up to date via periodic background synchronisation (performance of a contract).
- To display your public player card, only if you explicitly enable the "public profile" setting (consent, art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). This is off by default and can be switched off at any time.
- To secure and maintain the service (legitimate interest, art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3. What we share
We do not sell your data. Data is only shared with the processors we need to run the service:
- Supabase — database, authentication and server functions.
- Cloudflare — website hosting and delivery.
- Valve (Steam Web API) — we send your Steam ID to Valve's servers to retrieve your public game data. Valve's own privacy policy applies to their processing.
If you enable a public profile, the data on your player card (player name, avatar, totals, platforms and top games — never your e-mail address) is visible to anyone with your profile link.
4. How long we keep it
Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account (available in your account panel), your profile, platform links and all stored game data are permanently deleted immediately.
5. Cookies & local storage
We use your browser's local storage only for functional purposes: keeping you logged in and remembering your language preference. We currently use no advertising or analytics cookies. If this changes, this policy will be updated and consent will be requested where required.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export and delete your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Most of this you can do directly in the app: change your name, unlink platforms, disable your public profile, or delete your account entirely. For anything else, contact us. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
7. Contact

8. Changes
We may update this policy as the service evolves (for example when new platforms or features are added). The date at the top shows the latest revision.
